“Hey! Are you waking up today or in the next life? Come on!”

When Samuel opened his eyes he saw a small cub. It looked female and sounded familiar. “Ph-Phoebe?” he murmured.

”Phoebe? Who’s that?”

“Huh?”

Samuel rolled onto his other side to see she had moved. Her fur was paler than Phoebe’s fur but still smooth and clean. In fact it looked quite wet. Samuel could see why in a way. There was a small river flowing nearby. On the horizon Samuel could see a small waterfall, while further down there was a double-path tributary to the river.

“You still unconscious or something? Sheesh, you’re worse than me when I came here and that’s saying something!”

“Um…” Samuel thought of the best question first. “Who exactly are you?”

The cub stood proud in a flash. “Me? My name is Elsa.”

“Elsa…Elsa… wait! You mean THE Elsa? The Elsa who escaped from that safari park?”

“The very same!” Elsa sounded very grand now. “You sound like you know a lot about me? Did something happen to you?”

Samuel suddenly looked very concerned. “Elsa, I came from the same park. How else would I know you?”

“Oh yeah! I forgot about that! I’m an inspiration!” she replied looking too happy for her own good. “Anyway, at least you got what you wanted. Isn’t it great, now we’re in Africa and free to do what we want?”

Samuel groaned. He was nervous as usual but he tried to make his voice as serious as possible for the time being. “Well… see I’m not exactly done yet. I wasn’t looking for… Ah-frik-aa.”

Elsa gave him an odd eye. She was interested clearly. Samuel forced his words out fast. “I don’t even come from Earth. I’m from a place called the Great Gateway.” He closed his eyes and waited for the laugh.

“The Great Gateway? Oh yeah! I know that place! I just gave up looking for it a short time ago.”

“WHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?” Samuel nearly full-on roared. “Y-Y-Y-You know the Gateway?”

“Of course silly, I come from there too!”
